Shelby
Meet Shelby, a beautiful two year old calico girl who is still learning to feel safe around people. Most of the time she can be found quietly observing from her favorite spot, taking everything in around her. Every now and then, her playful side peeks through and she’ll come out to play.
She is making progress with human touch and does allow pets, even though she is still a little unsure at times. Shelby has a very gentle nature – she simply needs patience as she continues building confidence and learning that people can be safe and loving. It’s very rewarding to see her slowly become more comfortable and curious.
Shelby feels very comfortable around other cats, and you can often find her snuggling up with her feline friends. Because of this, we think a home with a friendly resident cat to help guide and comfort her would be ideal.
Shelby will need a patient, understanding adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to blossom at her own pace. With kindness and consistency, we believe Shelby will continue coming out of her shell more and more.
