Hi My name is BABY and I am an adorable TEN YEAR OLD female DACHSHUND/POODLE MIX. I am full grown and I only weigh 10 pounds. I am living with other dogs and a cat, but I would love to be with someone who just wants to hang out with me on the couch in a quiet home. I don't require much, only to be loved. I can get scared when someone reaches for me quickly that I don't know, so therefore only gentle children are suitable. Hera proves the point that adopting a senior can be life changing for both of you. 11 year old Hera came from the Manhattan shelter, seriously ill with pneumonia. She’s completely healthy now, loves to go out for walks wagging her tail as we go, is great on leash, will potty outside but will also use a wee wee pad, loves to be pet, and is gentle and friendly. We don’t know anything about Hera’s past but think it may not have been an easy life as she has a couple of bald spots on her hips, maybe from laying on a hard surface. Of course, now she’s grown accustomed to a soft plush bed and we wouldn’t have it any other way! We’ve noticed that Hera is extremely hard of hearing which means: 1)she’ll never be scared of storms, 2) she won’t care if you vacuum around her and 3) sudden loud noises will never bother her. In addition to enjoying her walks, Hera’s other favorite thing is a good long nap. At about 60 pounds, our American Staffy mix is so easy to be with, happy for attention paid but never demanding. Does this handsome frosted face make your heart ping? It does ours! Demonstrating our love Sherman has been given several nicknames already: Sherman Potter, Shermie Kermie, the Sherminator! Sherman was surrendered after living 11 ish years ( all his life) with his family when they moved. He has wonderful notes from his former family, all attesting to what a wonderful companion he is. Hi, my name is IZZY, and I am a Eleven-year-old beautiful and sweet female dog weighing 50 pounds with a stunning lush white and black coat. I originally came from Thailand and I lost my eye there, but I see .well out of the other eye and get around extremely well and my foster mom says I certainly can see a cookie, which I love. I will only bark to let you know someone is at the door. I enjoy pleasing my owners, so I listen well to commands. I am quite content to lay quietly at home while you are at work. I don’t have a destructive bone in my body, and I am very much house-trained.and will let you know when I have to go outside But I am great for someone that works all day I love children and people, and I am extremely gentle and sweet. . Ziggy is a gorgeous dog with a lush white coat, a wagging tail, and a happy smile. He is a middle-aged gent (7 years old/50 lbs), who has been professionally trained. Not your average dog, Ziggy is our 'unicorn' who when he loves, loves with his whole heart. Ziggy will need slow introductions to new people especially in his home. and he likes to be the protector of his person/people, so it's always necessary he be put in another room when new people enter the home.
