Meet REI, a four year old Siamese gal (blue point, Snowshoe?). Rei was surrendered recently to our rescue after her owner was moving. Rei is simply GORGEOUS and we think she knows it. lol! Rei is a great balance of extremely LOVING and AFFECTIONATE and INDEPENDENT. She loves to RUB all over her people and will clearly COMMUNICATE when she's done. She also loves to JUMP right on your shoulder or back. Rei’s favorite activity is looking out the window. She is very LOW MAINTENANCE and can entertain herself with a window, a box with a blanket, and attention on her terms. Rei has been an only cat, but could perhaps live with another cat after a proper introduction. Rei is located in Westchester, NY. She is spayed, UTD on her shots and FIV/FeLV negative. Meet Kit, a 4 year ALL GRAY kitty, (possibly a RUSSIAN BLUE mix). Kit came to us after her owner was evicted and left her behind. Kit has typical RUSSIAN BLUE tendencies: INDEPENDENCE, SASS and likes to be the CENTER OF ATTENTION. The world basically revolves around Kit and we are just visiting. She LOVES lots of attention, but will let you know (quite loudly and quite abruptly) when she is finished being the center of your attention. Kit will need an adopter who is EXPERIENCED with sassy cats and who is able to read her body language so they know when she has had enough. Kit is a FUN LOVING girl; it’s just on her terms and her timeline. If you know how to handle cats like Kit and are looking for a BEAUTIFUL gal with lots of PERSONALITY, then Kit is the feline for you. Meet CORAL, a VERY PRETTY grey and white gal who is around 5 years old. Coral was the mom to kittens who have all since been adopted. She loves to be PET and have CHIN and BUTT RUBS. Coral takes a little bit to come out of her shell but has proven to be a TOTAL SWEETHEART. Our volunteers all love her and are so proud to see her happy and PLAYFUL PERSONALITY come shining through. Meet MIRAGE. She is a PRETTY 9 year old GRAY & WHITE TUXEDO kitty with bright yellowish eyes and four white paws. Mirage came to us when her owner passed away and family members were unable to care for her. Mirage went to a temporary foster home for a bit where she got to have her own room to hang out in. During that time, she would sit on the couch next to you and rub against your legs when you stand up. She enjoyed the occasional catnip toy and burrowing under the blankets. After a stay back at our shelter, Mirage got the chance to go to a foster home again. This time she is living with other kitties who she peacefully coexists with. Mirage likes to lay on a cat bed under the skylight or wherever there is a ray of sun. She is fairly independent but a good girl overall who is quiet and well behaved. Currently Grey Goose is in a nice foster home in Long Beach, NY. Her foster mom thinks that Grey Goose is VERY SWEET and LOW-MAINTENANCE. She’s an independent type of gal who likes to have her cheeks rubbed and get an occasional pet. Grey Goose would do best as an only cat in a calm household.
