Patsy is an adorable mini goldendoodle with a super sweet disposition. It breaks my heart that Patsy was forced to have babies in a horrific Amish puppy mill and denied the opportunity to know the love of a family. She is looking for a fairly quiet forever home where she will be supported in feeling safe at her own pace.
In her foster home, Patsy loves being close to her people and snuggling. She is shy with new people, but she has also been brave by saying hello to strangers and dogs in the neighborhood. Patsy enjoys her walks, and they must be with someone securely holding onto her leash. I say that because this little gal recently had her 15 minutes of fame by escaping her new person's grip and running free. She hasn't shared the full details of her adventure, but we have told her she must be accompanied by an adult on all future adventures. Her foster family has had no difficulty keeping her secure. We enjoy walks with her, and she has only gotten out of her pen indoors in order to get closer to us. Once she feels safe and loved, that's all she really wants.
Patsy is living with another dog in foster but does prefer hanging with her people. She has been doing very well with her potty training and sleeps quietly through the night. It's been rewarding to see her coming out of her shell and showing more joy and happy tail wags in just the short time she's been here. She seems to really appreciate being cared for, and cooperates fully when she gets eye drops because they're dry. She hopes to find nurturing people who will work with her to ease any anxiety she feels.
Patsy looks forward to meeting her forever family! She's 30 lb and guesstimated at 5yo. She is available for adoption through Posh Pets Rescue, Long Island, NY. The rescue has gotten her spayed and up-to-date on shots.
