MartyYoung, Male, Medium
Meet MARTY. He is a 1 year old, HANDSOME, ALL BLACK male with a SLEEK, SHINY coat and SPARKLING yellow eyes. Plus he is POLYDACTYL. (That means that he has more than the usual number of toes on his front paws.) Here’s Marty’s story: A few months ago, Marty found himself at a local vet’s office unable to walk. Various tests and scans revealed a mass of scar tissue on his spine caused by some type of trauma or injury. A regimen of steroids helped Marty use his back legs again although it is not 100% and may never be. While his walking is not perfect, Marty CAN DO ANYTHING any cat can do with some accommodations (a very low litter box or wee wee pad, carpet or runners to help him with traction, limited stair access) and every day Marty becomes STRONGER and more DETERMINED. Marty’s favorite activities include sleeping on the bed (he is a pro at pulling himself up there), looking out the sliding glass door at birds and squirrels, wrestling with other cats, exploring all the parts of the house, eating treats, and getting chin rubs (even belly rubs sometimes too). Marty is a SPECIAL BOY who needs a home where someone will LOVE HIM for the AMAZING cat he is. Other cats to play with would make him happy (dogs are ok as long as they won’t chase him). Marty came to us with an unknown history, one that likely led to his injury. And because of that we want this boy to have the brightest, best future ever. Come and meet Marty! He is in foster in Westchester, NY. I am neutered, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.
